No brief. No client. One thing to capture: emotion. We took ourselves to the Melbourne Marathon and pointed the cameras at the feeling of the day — the nerves at the start line, the bodies spent on the mat, the pure release of the finish.
A personal project for Fourth Lane, shot in black and white and colour. No deliverable to hit, no shot list to tick off. Just the faces of people at the edge of themselves, and the reason we pick up a camera at all.
One day, one idea: emotion. The exhaustion, the joy, the quiet after the line. Shot for us.
